TIPS

Before your trip to San Blas Packaging

All your luggage will go with you on the boat, but you should pack a smaller bag with the items you will use for the trip. The smaller bag will stay with you and your larger backpack will be stored in another cabin or hold on the ship until the final destination. This helps keep the boat more organized. Here is a list of items we suggest you keep in your small bag: 5 days of light clothing (T-shirts, shorts, etc.)

  • Swimsuits) Towel and toiletries

  • Light or waterproof sweater

  • Solar protection

  • Flashlight Insect repellent

  • Dizziness medication (Dramamine / Mareol)

  • camera and charger Reading material

Sea sickness
We recommend that you purchase motion sickness tablets and start taking them early on the day of departure so they start working before you board the ship. Dramamine and Mareol are the common brand names and can be found at most drug stores. Ginger is a natural remedy for motion sickness, and although it is not as strong, it can be taken as an alternative to tablets.

Payment and money exchange
Make sure you have all cash ready before departure. Allowing time to withdraw cash is recommended, as you may encounter a daily limit on the amount you can withdraw, depending on your bank and ATM. If you leave Colombia, you will need to exchange money to USD to take with you. Allow additional time for this. DO NOT trade with people on the street.
